Terms of Service

1. Service

Archivios ("we", "us") provides a photo and video backup service that organizes your media by location and date, and stores it securely in your vault. By using Archivios, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 16 or older to use Archivios
  • You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • One person or entity per account — no sharing login credentials

3. Your content

You retain full ownership of all photos and videos you upload. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. We access your files only to provide the service (organizing, storing, retrieving).

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Archivios to store or distribute content that is illegal, infringes on others' rights, or violates applicable laws. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy.

5. Subscription & billing

  • Archivios offers a 5 GB free tier and paid subscription plans
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice
  • Refunds follow Apple App Store policies

6. Family plans

  • Family and Extended Family plans share a storage pool among members. The plan owner manages membership
  • Members may leave a family at any time. Their uploaded photos remain on their own account and they revert to the free tier (5 GB limit)
  • When a member leaves or is removed, their storage and quota usage (including restore and delete counts) is absorbed by the owner's account. The owner invited the member and bears the cost of what was consumed under their plan
  • If the owner downgrades or cancels, all members are ejected and revert to the free tier. Existing data is preserved but new uploads are blocked if storage exceeds the free limit
  • Each member's files are stored under their own account. Leaving a family does not delete any uploaded content
  • A detached member (someone who left or was removed) can regain full access to their data by subscribing to any paid plan or joining another family
  • While on the free tier, a detached member can browse and view their vault photos but cannot upload new content if their storage exceeds the free limit
  • Restore and delete quotas consumed by a departing member count against the owner's limits for the remainder of the billing period

7. Storage & retrieval

  • Uploaded photos are stored in your vault with retrieval times varying by plan (hours, not instant)
  • Thumbnails are available instantly for browsing
  • Vault storage has a 180-day minimum duration — files deleted before 180 days may still incur storage charges
  • We do not guarantee specific retrieval speeds as they depend on cloud provider availability

8. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your account, photos, and all vault data are removed. This cannot be undone. Export your data before deleting.

9. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

Archivios is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after notice via email. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
