1. What we collect

When you use Archivios, we collect:

• Account info — email address, display name (from Google/Apple sign-in)
• Photos & videos — files you upload for backup, including photo metadata (date, location, camera model)
• Device info — device model, OS version, app version, installation ID
• Usage data — upload counts, storage used, feature interactions (no photo contents are analyzed)

2. How we use it

• Organize your photos by date and location using EXIF data
• Store and retrieve your files from cloud storage
• Send you account-related notifications
• Improve the service (aggregated, anonymized analytics only)

3. What we never do

• We never train AI or machine learning models on your photos
• We never sell, share, or license your data to third parties
• We never scan your photos for advertising purposes
• We never access your photo contents except to process uploads you initiate

4. Storage & security

Your photos are stored with 99.999999999% durability. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Access credentials are managed server-side — your device never holds storage keys directly.

5. Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active.

• Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. All photos, metadata, and your account record are removed right away — there is no grace period and this cannot be undone
• Deleting individual photos from your vault removes them from view and frees your storage quota immediately. The underlying files are purged once the 180-day minimum storage period required by the storage provider has passed
• If you cancel or downgrade a paid plan without deleting your account, data beyond your new plan's limit is kept for 90 days so you can resubscribe before it's purged

Emails we send

We send emails only for account-related events. You will never receive marketing emails.

• Plan-downgrade purge warning at 30 days and 7 days before excess data is purged
• Account deletion confirmation, sent immediately after you delete your account
• Restore-ready notification when requested files are available for download
• Account security alerts (new device sign-in)

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Export all your data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Request a copy of data we hold about you

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect.
