What is Archivios?

Archivios is an iOS app that automatically backs up your photos and videos, organizing them by date and location, then archives them to secure, permanent cloud storage — at a fraction of the cost of Google Photos or iCloud.

Is Archivios a Google Photos alternative?

Yes. Archivios is built for people leaving Google Photos or iCloud who want long-term, low-cost storage without a subscription tied to ever-growing prices. Unlike Google Photos, Archivios does not use your photos for AI training or ads.

How does photo organization work?

Archivios reads the EXIF metadata embedded in each photo and video to automatically sort your library into a <year>/<month>/<state>/<place> structure — no manual albums or tagging required.

How long does it take to restore my photos?

Retrieval time depends on your plan: Family and Extended Family plans get 12-hour retrieval for archived files, while the Personal plan uses 48-hour retrieval. Files on Family/Extended Family within the recent access window are available instantly.

Why is retrieval not instant for every plan?

Archivios archives your originals to a deep archive storage tier — this is what makes the pricing dramatically cheaper than standard cloud photo storage. The tradeoff is a retrieval wait time instead of instant access, unless your plan includes a recent-access window.

How much does Archivios cost?

Archivios has a free forever tier (5 GB storage), then three paid plans: Personal ($3.99/mo, 2 TB), Family ($6.99/mo, 2 TB shared, 2 users), and Extended Family ($12.99/mo, 5 TB shared, 5 users). Annual billing saves about 27%.

How many restores or deletes am I allowed per month?

Every plan includes a limited number of restores and deletes per month to keep pricing sustainable — see the pricing section for the exact limits on your plan.

Is my photo data private and secure?

Yes. All storage access happens through Archivios' backend — your device never talks to storage directly, and files are only ever accessed via short-lived, pre-signed URLs. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my account and all my data?

Yes. Account deletion with a full data purge is always available, regardless of your plan or how long you've had the account, in line with GDPR/CCPA requirements.

Is Archivios available on Android or desktop?

Archivios currently ships on iOS. Support for additional platforms may follow, but iOS is the primary experience today.
